Danish black metal phenom, Myrkur, has taken us by storm with her lush, brutal melodies that blend second-wave black metal, Nordic folk music, classical instrumentation and haunting choirs. Her debut full length, M is out now on Relapse Records.

This weekend she performed her third time ever in Emanuel Vigeland's tomb in Oslo, Norway (where parts of the album were recorded).  You can hear more on the performance on NPR's Weekend Edition here.

M was co-produced by Garm - the mastermind behind black metal legends Ulver and rounded out on record by members of Mayhem and Nidingr plus a guest appearance from Christopher Amott of Arch Enemy.
